OKX files application with SEC for tokenized stock trading platform

Coin World News: OKX filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Sunday to launch a tokenized stock trading platform, becoming one of the first major cryptocurrency exchanges to take advantage of new U.S. rules. The new rules allow digital versions of publicly listed company stocks to be traded on cryptocurrency platforms. OKXICE LLC, a joint venture formed by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, plans to apply for approval and initially offer tokenized stocks of 63 listed companies, including Nvidia, Apple, Coca-Cola, Cisco, and McDonald's. Intercontinental Exchange acquired a partial stake in OKX in March, in a deal that valued the latter at $25 billion. The two sides agreed to cooperate on U.S.-regulated cryptocurrency futures business. Last month, the SEC adopted a temporary exemption that cleared the way for blockchain versions of securities to be traded in the United States, opening a new battleground for cryptocurrency platforms to compete with traditional exchanges.

Four vendors, 15 CVEs, and a coordinated attack on the identity agent stack

CoinWorld data: Forkast reports that from October 2 to 5, 2026, the identity agent stack suffered coordinated attacks, with four identity layer vulnerabilities emerging, leading to a concentration of security failures. The Zitadel incident involved 10 vulnerabilities. CVE-2026-105215 allows unauthenticated accounts to pre-hijack, CVE-2026-105209 enables attackers to register authenticators across different organizations, and CVE-2026-105211 allows MFA bypass. The Zimbra vulnerability (CVE-2026-73570) allows attackers to obtain the encrypted root of trust through unauthenticated command injection. The Bouncy Castle vulnerability (CVE-2026-71885) allows attackers to impersonate any participant. The MCP OAuth credential theft involves the Anthropic MCP Python SDK. When a malicious server returns a 404, the SDK skips verification and directly retrieves the configuration. Each system has flaws in its verification logic, leading to broken identity integration.

The U.S. CFTC and SEC jointly propose crypto regulation.

CoinWorld news: The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Monday proposed a series of rules to establish a U.S. cryptocurrency regulatory framework, aiming to fill the regulatory gap left by Congress's failure to pass crypto legislation. The CFTC is pursuing two regulatory tracks, separately addressing trading and the companies that provide platforms for these activities. The new rules would establish a new platform category called Crypto Asset Markets (CAMs), and crypto activities involving leverage, margin, or financing would fall within the CFTC's regulatory scope. CFTC Chairman Mike Selig said the rules would provide a unified national regulatory pathway for crypto asset exchanges. Nevertheless, the CFTC still lacks regulatory authority over the spot market, meaning crypto assets traded directly remain outside its regulatory purview.

Nohshad Shah: Rising real interest rates could test the AI boom

CoinWorld news, Nohshad Shah, head of fixed income sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Citadel Securities, said that rising real yields on U.S. Treasuries could test the AI boom. He estimates that about one-third of hyperscalers' capital expenditure this year is financed by debt, so higher financing costs will make the ability to generate future cash flow even more important. He reiterated his bullish view on hyperscalers such as Microsoft and Google, because their business models are not just about selling the right to use AI models.

Citadel Securities: An Analysis of Why U.S. Treasury Yields Have Risen to Multi-Decade Highs

According to news from Bijie, Citadel Securities believes that the recent rise in U.S. Treasury yields to multi-decade highs is due to strong U.S. economic growth and intensified competition for capital, rather than rising market concerns about inflation. Nohshad Shah, head of fixed income sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Citadel Securities, pointed out in a note to clients on Monday that almost all of the increase in 10-year U.S. Treasury yields in September came from real yields, while inflation expectations remained relatively stable. He said the market is assessing the strength and sustainability of economic growth, as well as the real interest rates needed to accommodate that growth. Shah also noted that higher potential returns are encouraging companies to increase investment in AI, but the related financing activities and persistent government deficits will intensify competition for capital. The market currently expects about four Federal Reserve rate hikes over the next 12 months, which is reasonable.
