Saudi Aramco warns global oil inventories have fallen to low levels.

Amin Nasser, CEO of Saudi Aramco, said that global oil inventories used to buffer supply shocks have become "alarmingly low." If the Strait of Hormuz cannot be reopened, the global energy market faces the risk of further deterioration. A few days ago, governments of major global economies announced plans to release up to 100 million barrels of emergency crude oil and diesel inventories to ease rising fuel costs.
