Pi Network Drops 4 Major Developer Updates Ahead of Its Ecosystem Summit
The team behind Pi Network introduced four new technical updates aimed at developers and businesses building around the ecosystem.
The additions affect the Developer Portal, Pi BlockExplorer, SoloHost, and PiVerify, with several designed to make app creation and deployment much easier.
The announcement published earlier this week says that one of the biggest changes is a redesigned Developer Portal, which now brings key application settings into a dedicated App Configuration section. Devs can manage domains, API keys, app wallets, privacy information, and other core settings from a single place, while navigation to services such as Pi Sign-In, PiNet, the Ad Network, and ecosystem listings has been simplified.
The goal is to reduce friction when integrating payments, authentication, and other Pi functionality into applications. The team added that the update for the Pi BlockExplorer allows it to display historical price data for Launchpad Testnet tokens. Users can now track how much assets such as SLICE move relative to Test-Pi without operating the Pi Browser or even holding a Pi account.
The same functionality is expected to support future Mainnet tokens once that feature goes live. The team stressed that the current assets are strictly Testnet tokens and will never migrate to Mainnet, with the feature primarily serving as a testing and educational tool ahead of the first Mainnet token launch.
Several technical updates have been released to support developers!
– An improved Developer Portal simplifies app configuration and management
– Pi BlockExplorer now tracks historical prices for Launchpad Testnet tokens
– A new SoloHost skill enables AI assistants to prepare app packages for Pi Desktop
– PiVerify has expanded identity verification capabilities for third-party businesses
These improvements reduce barriers to building on Pi, expand utility for Pioneers, and support preparations for the upcoming Ecosystem Summit.

The Core Team explained that they have added a new skill to its public SoloHost GitHub repository that allows devs to use AI coding assistants, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, to prepare apps for publication through Pi Desktop.
Instead of manually creating the necessary configuration files, developers can provide an existing public Docker image and let the assistant generate and validate the required docker-compose.yml and config_options.yml files.
The fourth update targets PiVerify, the project’s identity-verification service for outside businesses. The team added face-uniqueness checks and multiple liveness checks, designed to help companies detect duplicate identities and request additional verification when needed. They claimed that this cou
